12x10 Shed Plans

If you need to store large items like a riding mower, motorcycle, an ATV or bicycles, this size is ideal. A shed with 120 square feet gives you plenty of outside storage space while giving you all the room you need to do the things you love. If you want to use your shed for woodworking, painting, rebuilding motorcycles, etc. this is a great size. If you do things that require a lot of gear like camping, snowboarding, surfing or kayaking a shed of this size or larger is perfect. The benefit of a shed for your active lifestyle gear is that you can keep it all in one place. There’s nothing worse than having your gear stored in six different locations because that's simply where you can find the room. With all your gear in one place, it’s easier to do the things you love and less frustrating to dig through storage bins or fight through piles of forgotten objects.

How to Determine if 12x10 Sheds are Right for your Backyard

Our 12 x 10 shed plans offer just the right amount of space without taking away from your yard. Evaluate your backyard and make sure you calculate enough room around the shed – we recommend at minimum of three feet around all sides of the shed for ease of passage and maybe some gardening or decorations. Another thing to think about is your landscaping. Position your shed in an area with enough space and in an area that compliments the rest of your yard.

If you plan to use your shed for projects, or for ease of finding stored items, you may want to consider additional windows or skylights to let in more natural light. During the shopping and installing process, think of ways to add your style to the shed, whether that be window placement, curtains, light fixtures, hanging plants, or something else entirely. There’s enough space to create something that compliments the style you’ve worked hard to develop in your home.
